The lens has been specially designed to prevent water penetration at both ends as well as along the focus ring, while it provides more uniform sharpness across the entire image area at all apertures using high quality optical glass. AR coatings and internal baffles increase transmittance and reduce flare to preserve contrast. With thirteen finely crafted elements, three of which are Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements, aberrations are closely controlled for optimal image capture.
